WHOOPIE PIE COOKIES
2 cups sugar
1/2 loving cup shortening (no substitutions)
2 eggs
1 loving cup sour milk (*see banknote below)
1 loving cup BOILING water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 loving cup unsweetened bakers cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all work flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
*NOTE: To larn sour milk, put 1 teaspoon of lemon juice inwards a loving cup in addition to thence fill upwardly it upwardly amongst milk; allow it represent five minutes.
DIRECTIONS
Beat the eggs, shortening (I work butter flavored Crisco) and saccharide inwards a large bowl until real smooth, scraping sides.
